Let me start by saying, I'm a huge fan of Elin Hilderbrand and have read pretty much all of her books. Something about the familiar characters, Nantucket setting and the promise of love always pull me in and immediately set me at ease.

If I'm being completely honest, I found this book a little unbelievable and predictable. Not to say I didn't enjoy reading it, I read it in 48 hours [mostly motivated by our impending book club discussion] but I definitely wouldn't have finished it if I truly knew what would happen or if I simply wasn't interested.
It took me a bit longer to get into this book but after the first few chapters I was hooked. That said, this isn't a super happy, feel-good type read. I found myself pretty frustrated with the protagonist for most of the book. It honestly feels like watching your best friend marry/date the bad boy who doesn't treat her how she deserves yet she keeps going back to him.
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is upon us which means great deals on tons of beauty, shoes, clothing and more for the upcoming fall season! I'll be honest with you all, I'm just a lowly 'insider' when it comes to Nordstrom status which means I won't get access to shop the sale until August 13 but I did pop by our local store today to check out some of the items in person and even do a mini try-on haul for you. Below are a few outfit ideas using my favorite pieces from the sale. Fingers crossed some of these things are still in stock in two weeks!
Kicking off my first ever curated style guide with the Summer 2020 Beach edition! As most of you know, we recently got back from Emerald Isle, NC where we spent an entire week safely away from others lounging at the beach and cooking meals at home. I knew this would be our itinerary going into the trip but that still didn't stop me from ordering a whole slew of new swimsuits and outfits perfect for a week at the beach.
