August Book: Verity by Colleen Hoover

Jet Set Darlings Book Review:
I really enjoyed this book however, I went into reading it with unreasonable expectations as it came highly recommended by several friends. In the end, I thought it was a good read but I’ve enjoyed others more this summer. That said, I think it’s super juicy, thrilling and definitely a page turner. It keeps you on your toes and has you doubting every character, their motives and moral compass at each turn of events.
I also enjoyed Hoover’s writing style; she’s a great storyteller. I especially loved how she was able to weave a romantic thread in throughout without compromising the suspense aspect.
There’s a huge twist at the end that I LOVE. I didn’t see it coming at all and it really makes you rethink everything you believed to be true up until that point. For that reason alone, I think this would be a great book club read because it will most certainly lead to a rich, lively discussion. If you read it, would love to know what you think!!
