I'm so excited to see that you all love my favorite dress from May as much as I do! Ironically the blue & white pattern version of this same exact dress actually came in sixth and for good reason, they're flattering and perfect for an elevated summer look. We finally pulled the trigger on maternity pictures and I just LOVE how they turned out. We didn't do them when I was pregnant with Palmer and I slightly regret it because I think it's such a special stage in life, one that I know I'll look back on fondly so I knew I wanted to do them eventually but, if I'm being honest, I had so much on my plate I thought, I'll just do them next time. Then I realized, I don't know what the future holds. We may decide we're done after two, we may not be able to conceive again, the list goes on and so I made it a priority. I literally cried every time I opened this book to read. Not sure if it's my pregnancy hormones or the deep love Elsa has for her children that is palpable through Hannah's writing but my goodness, this story was heartbreakingly beautiful. We booked this trip last minute, in true Kara fashion, when we realized this may be our only opportunity to get away before the baby arrives. It was a baby moon, family vacation, spring break and a celebration of me going back to work all wrapped up into one trip. We traveled with Palmer and Kevin was working remotely Monday - Wednesday so it wasn't a super relaxing vacation by any stretch but it was a nice change of scenery and a chance to see some sunshine.
