Toddler Breakfast Ideas

Toddler Breakfast Ideas

Thinking of and making healthy-ish meals for Palmer's breakfast, lunch and dinner can get pretty daunting and often time consuming. Of all the meals though, I think breakfast is probably my favorite because we've got a pretty solid group of options we rotate through weekly. All of them can be made in under 10 minutes or prepared ahead of time and frozen for easy preparation. Click in to continue reading!

KV Book Review: Daisy Jones & The Six

KV Book Review: Daisy Jones & The Six

I'm pretty torn on my opinion about Daisy Jones & The Six. On the one hand, I thought the interview style writing by Jenkins Reid is original and refreshing. I think she did a brilliant job telling a compelling story from multiple perspectives in a way that really brings the narrative to life. Click in to see how many stars I gave this book!

Chicago Winter Weekend Itinerary

Chicago Winter Weekend Itinerary

I'm starting a series I've been wanting to do forever focused on visiting Chicago during the four different seasons. My plan is to highlight different things to do and places to eat that are fitting for that particular season. I've formatted this post like an itinerary and tried my best to remain geographically and logistically conscious since Chicago and it's charming neighborhoods can be challenging to navigate if you aren't familiar with the city. I want these itineraries to represent the best of Chicago and therefore will not being taking COVID restrictions into consideration. Click in to continue reading!

Toddler Road Trip Tips

Toddler Road Trip Tips

Traveling with a baby or toddler can be very intimidating and certainly isn't easy but a little planning and preparation can go a long way. Especially now during the pandemic, car travel is the safest method for our family to get around with Palmer in tow.

KV Book Review: The Winemaker’s Wife

KV Book Review: The Winemaker’s Wife

Overall, I most enjoyed hearing the perspective from French wine country during WWII. As someone who loves historical fiction, specifically the WWII era, I sometimes forget the part France played in the war so this was a nice change. Click in to continue reading my review!

Dessert Sliders

Dessert Sliders

Who's excited for Super Bowl Sunday?! We have no loyalty to either team but are both big football fans so we'll definitely be tuning in. Honestly though, I think the best part about Super Bowl Sunday are the commercials and the food! We're not going anywhere this year but in the past, the food spread has always been a big incentive for me to attend Super Bowl watch parties.

Games for Two

Games for Two

It's hard to believe we're coming up on the one year anniversary of all the COVID stay-at-home advisories. It's been a weird year for sure but not all entirely bad. We've saved money, tried tons of new recipes, completed a bunch of home renovation/organization projects, started reading again, witnessed all of Palmer's developmental milestones and growth firsthand and spent tons of time together as a family. Of course not all of it has been 'quality time.' Continue reading for 10+ game ideas perfect for only two people.

Wall Art I Currently Love

Wall Art I Currently Love

This year my goal is to finally put some art on our walls! Currently, I'm drawn to neutral, abstract pieces on a framed canvas or vintage portraits and sketches. Over the last few years, I've start saving pictures of art/artists I like and so I figured I'd share some of the inspiration I'm pulling from as I embark on this project.
