We're back from Turks and Caicos and I'm not kidding when I say it was the most relaxed we've been in almost four years! Between COVID times and "family trips" [not vacations, as the saying goes], it's been difficult to sneak away just the two of us and really disconnect so this time together was much needed and quite special.
We booked this trip last minute, in true Kara fashion, when we realized this may be our only opportunity to get away before the baby arrives. It was a baby moon, family vacation, spring break and a celebration of me going back to work all wrapped up into one trip. We traveled with Palmer and Kevin was working remotely Monday - Wednesday so it wasn't a super relaxing vacation by any stretch but it was a nice change of scenery and a chance to see some sunshine. I realized quickly after arriving in Florida that I didn't pack Palmer or myself enough layers. I thought I had this packing thing down but turns out I'm still learning. My post today is pretty specific but it's the second time we've run into this issue so I feel like it warrants a share. At the very least maybe I'll stop making this mistake!
